The Basic Skills

Children will be guided through the basics of sewing, including how to use a sewing machine, and will create a finished sewing item to take home, tailored to their age and skill level.

Children with a basic understanding of crochet will have the opportunity to craft their very own pouch or bag. This workshop aims to unleash the creativity of participants and provide them with a journey of skill and imagination. This project requires basic crochet experience, you can sign up for week 3 basic crocheting if your child have not crochet before.

Explore the world of garment making with lessons on taking measurements, garment planning, pattern work, fashion sketching, and sewing a skirt or shorts. Children will complete a garment project to take home.

On the 1st day of camp, participants will unleash their creativity by designing and creating fabric art on canvas using acrylic paint. On the 2nd day, the children will transform their canvas creations into stylish tote bags and will learn basic sewing skills while using a sewing machine. At the end of camp, each child will take home their very own creation!

This workshop encourages children to bring unwanted clothing or special items to be redesigned into new clothing pieces, promoting discussions about sustainability in fashion.

Hand Knitting and Jewellery Making
In this workshop, children will craft a hand-knit bag or pillow from chunky yarn and create personalized beaded jewelry using professional tools. These projects help strengthen fine motor skills, patience, creativity, and allow children to express their individuality.
